Everybody’s ideal job is different; some want to be doctors, some want to be teachers, some want to be psychologists. My ideal job is a fun job. I don’t even know exactly what I want to do yet, but I think I want to either work for a television station or a show, or work for a magazine. I used to not want to be cooped up in an office all day, but now I don’t think I would mind it. But if I worked for a television company, I would probably be on my feet at all times.
I want to be able to work on my own if I want, or work with others too. I also want to be able to dress nice and have a job where there is no getting dirty involved.
Since I am not totally sure what my dream job is, it is hard to say what it signifies about my American dream. For one thing, it says that I am not willing to work and get dirty for a career; I want something clean and white-collar, if you will. My dream job also shows how everyone wants to be a little famous. I want to be on television or the one writing articles for that magazine. Although I don’t want to be celebrity-famous, I want to have some self of importance. I think that is healthy in a job.
Lastly, I want to be willing to go to work, like everyone preaches to me. That will make it fun, since so much of Americans’ time is spent working.

Its cool you have an open mind to what you want to do. Don't forget, a Bachelor's degree is just a piece of paper to many companies. They see it as a sign that you are smart enough to be molded to do what they want you to do and they will pay you well to do it. So get that paper and have some fun.
Nadia, I think it's good that you know the limits of your job. You said that you definitely don't want to get dirty and I agree with that. I don't think I could handle a hands on type of job every day. My only concern is that some jobs might not have as much freedom.
I think it's great that you don't know what you want to do! It seems, though, that you definitely want a job that keeps you going. That gives you so many options. I think that having so many options is also part of the American dream. It's great to have such freedom to do whatever you want.
I like how you are still leaving your options open. Also I believe that your idea of the American Dream is very true, and everyone does want to be a little famous. Its the hollywood in all of us. I don't know what year you are but I hope you figure out what you want to do soon, although, I geuss there is no real rush, better to enjoy your life now and stress out about work late.
It seems you have a good start on what you want to do after college. But pretty soon you may want to narrow down down your choices to one or the other. Don't wait too long on your decision or there might be a bumpy road ahead.
I agree with you that a lot of the people, wish they could be somewhat famous! I also liked how you admitted you didn't know your American dream yet, because I feel your not alone and many people are like that as well. It was good how you gave what you wanted to deal with though to keep you on a track to keep you focused on what it is that you want in the future.
